Community Service: Since 2000, Youth Connections has organized and
supervised work projects for youth that are assigned Community
Service Work Hours. We have provided youth to assist in most community events in
the Bitterroot Valley as well as to many local non-profits, government agencies,
schools, libraries, museums, and individuals with disabilities. Our staff are
experienced in working with teens and directly supervise them.

Intensive Supervision: In
some instances, youth that are pending court
hearings or have violated conditions of probation are placed on electronic
monitored house arrest. Our staff monitors their schedules and they remain at home
with a curfew allowing them to continue with school and jobs rather than being
held in detention or placed temporarily out-of their community.

Sober Saturday: Youth cited for possession of alcohol are required to
attend the underage drinking prevention program with at least one parent. The
class is three hours and held once a month on the second Saturday. Sober
Saturday is an alcohol education class for first time offenders. Subsequent
offenses for minor in possession of alcohol or possession of dangerous drugs are
referred to one of several licensed chemical dependency counselors for
assessment and treatment if needed.

Cognitive Principles and Restructuring: CP&R is a nine week educational
class conducted by trained facilitators. Youth learn about thinking errors,
criminal cycles, defense mechanisms, and present thinking error reports.
